📚 How to Use the System

👨‍🏫 For the Teacher / Admin:

1. After purchasing, click the "Make a Copy" link sent to your email.
2. Open the Google Sheet and go to the StudentsData tab.
3. Input the Student Names (Column A), Unique Codes (Column B), and Gender (Column C - use M or F).
4. Go to Extensions > Apps Script.
5. On the left sidebar, click Libraries, then click ElectionApp.
6. IMPORTANT: Always choose the highest/latest Version (e.g., Version 4) from the dropdown and click Save.
7. Click Deploy > New deployment. Select gear icon ⚙️ > Web app.
8. Set Execute as: Me and Who has access: Anyone. Click Deploy and Authorize your account.
9. Copy the Web App URL. This is the link you will send to your students.

👨‍🎓 For the Students / Voters:

1. Open the voting link sent by your teacher on any device (mobile, tablet, or PC).
2. Select your name from the dropdown list.
3. Enter the unique code given by your teacher.
4. Click START VOTING.
5. Select your candidates by clicking their names. (You cannot vote for the same person for multiple positions).
6. Click SUBMIT VOTE once complete.
7. To see who is winning, click VIEW RESULTS on the login screen.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Do my students need a Google account to vote?

No! Students just need the voting link and their unique PIN. They can vote from any device with a browser.

Can a student vote twice?

No. Once their name is submitted, the system permanently blocks them from voting again using server-side locks.

What happens if two students tie for President?

The system checks if one of them won a lower position (like VP). If one did, the other automatically wins President. If it's a true tie, it will be highlighted as "TIE - RECOUNT NEEDED".
